Located in the heart of Kfar Vradim, the "Bait Bachoresh" ("House in the wood") hostel is situated close to the center of the local community.
Twenty-four individuals with mental developmental disabilities live in the House in Choresh in well-equipped, spacious rooms (two residents per room), each with its own bathroom and shower.
The residents leave early in the morning for their protected employment and ordinary jobs nearby and return in the afternoon. Later in the day, they participate in a variety of leisure and social activities.
The hostel provides a warm, welcoming home for life; therefore, the staff works diligently to help the residents become more independent. A personal plan is created for each resident so that each can progress at her or his own speed and according to each’s wishes and abilities.
Candidates are referred to the hostel by local welfare services, following a diagnosis by a placement committee that refers each person to the appropriate framework.
Apartments in the community- Cochav Hatzafon housing is intended for independent adults with mild mental developmental disabilities or borderline intelligence.
Each resident has her or his own room, or if desired a shared bedroom. There is spacious common space and a well-maintained yard and garden.
The staff is made up of a house coordinator, a house mother, and counselors who guide residents and who are available to offer support throughout the day.
Communal apartments are located in Kfar Vradim, Ma'alot, Me'ona and Katzrin.
